This seminar is intended to provide an introduction to one of Microchip’s

newest features to the dsPIC

Digital Signal Controller devices; the Digital-

to-Analog Converter (DAC). We will start with an introduction of the DAC.

We will discuss the DAC conversion process and some features of the DAC.

We will then cover how the DAC interacts with the CPU as well as with the

Direct Memory Access module (DMA). We will conclude with an external

circuit example as well as the hardware and software solutions available for

the Audio DAC.
